A PART OF PANDEMIC PRESENTS NEW OBSTACLES FOR THANKSGIVING CELEBRATIONS ARTICLE

This infographic helped stress the importance of safety in sanitation and transportation during the Thanksgiving holiday season as the pandemic was still at height. Showing readers in a more condensed and colorful way necessary and applicable tips to having a successful Thanksgiving celebration created more informed celebrators that could not only be with their friends and family but do so in a way to keep contamination at bay.

A PART OF THE STANDARDS ARTICLE

Displaying the periods and features of what was considered "beautiful" in each culture emphasizes no one "perfect" image or body since there has never been an exact definition for it throughout the centuries. This is important to stress, especially for young children and teenagers, who see pressure in being perceived as the "norm" or trend, but in reality, it is all superficial. As one can see by comparing the different time periods, they each have entirely different expectations and views of idealization, helping one concerned with their appearance that it is okay not to look like the trend at the moment, as it will not be seen as the "norm" forever.

A PART OF ASIAN AMERICANS FACE INCREASING DISCRIMINATION ARTICLE

The "Model Minority" myth about Asian Americans has co-existed amongst the start of their integration into society since they first immigrated to America. Although this myth is bluntly harmful, it also causes an almost reverse effect in the same sense as it diminishes all struggles Asian American people still encounter. It washes over the fact that discrimination and hate crimes still exist today, but the pandemic highlighted just how much these attitudes are present. As proven by the statistical information, many people of Asian descent have spoken out about the hate and mistreatment that they have experienced in various ways. Reporting on these persistent circumstances, even as the pandemic is dying down, can hopefully help end extensive discrimination in all aspects.

A PART OF WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH SPARKS DISCUSSIONS ARTICLE

The toxicity of society has significantly contributed to the violence against women by men. Inferiority is related to women more than men and has some viewing women's more hands-on integration into society as atrocious and almost like an invasion. Some job positions taken over by women might seem like a good thing to most but upsets others. As men also view themselves as the more powerful gender, they sometimes want to display that power in controlling and hurtful ways. The term "safety measures" in the infographic indicates the amount of fear women experience and feel when being in public, compared to men, showing how violence and objectification have taken over in the world and society today.

A PART OF EARTH DAY'S IMPACT AND MESSAGE ARTICLE

Technological advancements have not only revolutionized the world around us but, in addition, have severely damaged our environment. Whether it be greenhouse gases, drilling, or pollution, they and many more like them have contributed to the overwhelming decline of the earth. All the different categories listed in the infographic may have revolutionized and been helpful to human life as we know it but have also had catastrophic effects. Climate change is becoming more apparent by the days and causing sea levels to rise, which could cause many to become homeless. These advancements may have created a more accessible and easy life for many but have produced long-lasting harm to the environment. Showing the percentages of what is causing the most greenhouse gases can hopefully teach some to be more mindful of their energy consumption and apply that mindfulness to their everyday lives.

A PART OF ADMINISTRATION: BEYOND THE SURFACE ARTICLE

To help readers get to know the administration of Carlmont a little more, I created this infographic to display who did what roles at school and attach a face to the names mentioned in the feature. I think this infographic helped readers get a more personal sense of the administration, and if readers were to go to Carlmont, help them know whom they can go to and how each person looks.
